Bad Pitch Writers Lab EVENTS
In collaboration with The Group Labs, our non-profit parent company, Bad Pitch Writers Lab hosts multiple events throughout the year.
GROUP LABS FEST
Our big annual festival at the end of the year, a multi-event weekend including Pitchfest, panels, lectures, keynote speakers, and our signature event, Pilotpalooza: staged readings of half hour pilots with a star-studded cast.

FEATURE & ONE HOUR EPISODIC LABS
Two four-week intensive programs that are by application only for Bad Pitch members, selected internally from submissions. Each cohort spends four weeks workshopping their scripts with an industry professional.
The final rewrite for the Episodic Lab culminates in a staged reading. The final rewrite for the Feature Lab culminates in a full-year scholarship for a Bad Pitch class.
Both programs are a unique way to get feedback and support from their community and receive fresh insight into their material from elite working professionals.
SHORTS ON FOR SUMMER
A fun summer shorts competition, that encourages our members to not only write to sell, but write to make!
The winner of Shorts on for Summer gets a cash prize and a guaranteed screening slot at our Group Labs Fest Film Festival.
Throughout the year…
we host one-off workshops, classes, parties, and more. At Bad Pitch we believe that you cannot write alone. In conjunction with the group labs, we strive to not only provide our members with the community of not only other writers, but actors, directors & producers as well.
